Tap & Musical Theatre
Our tap classes provide both rhythm and Broadway tap styles which also forms a big part of our production and musical theatre pieces. Tap teaches the student musicality by the creation of various sounds and rhythms. Our senior tap teacher hold hers advanced level tap examination with the BBO, tapping competitively and professionally for many years.
Musical Theatre involves the integration of singing, miming, spoken dialogue and acting with dance to tell a story. The storyline is depicted by the dancers through emotive and artistic expression. Our classes expose students to a variety of musicals where they learn about the history of each production.
The studio provides its students with the opportunity to perform a large production piece for our end of year production.
Epiphany Dance & Co. offers the opportunity for students to undertake musical theatre and/or tap examinations with BBO Dance at all levels from Primary to the Solo Dancer Award. We pride ourselves in preparing students to perform at their own personal best.
Dance examinations are nationally and internationally recognised, and are wonderful for confidence building and for the student’s dance education and career prospects. They also fast track a student’s training, building strength and technique.
